    No Need to worry about parallax error FT, or even magnetic variation. Just use you sense of touch. The side of your compass with moss growing on it will always point to North.

    I've not used a compass in years. I just triangulate my position by the smell of the nearest 3 pubs. Accurate to within 13.67 meters so long as there are 3 pubs within 48 miles.
