    Best recovery drink?

Hmm, maybe this isn't exactly the correct place for this thread, but in the absence of a 'nutrition' forum here goes...

I've been a long time disciple of Maximuscle's 'Viper' energy drink to aid reovery after (and during) a run or race. And over the last year or so have also added 'Nuun' tabs to get some extra electrolytes back in my system.

Been hearing a lot recently about carbo recovery drinks that contain protein as well. Whaddya think?

I found the pint of Doom Bar the other night was a perfect pick-me-up post run.

'Running' might be stretching it a bit, but the sentiment's appreciated!

I believe chocolate milk is supposed to be very beneficial and I guess a fair bit cheaper than those sports drinks!

I'm lactose intolerant so have to be careful on the protein drinks. I use High5 mixed with soya milk and sometimes add some Green and Blacks cocoa powder for an extra lift!

I use PSP Rego on training camp but not convinced with its merits unlike PSP22 which I have found to be benificial for use during long sessions. A good diet and good hydration is the best rule to follow and if you buy into the benefits of the sports drinks use them as well.
