Of particular interest is a section on long distance mountain challenges - from the BGR to Wainright bagging. The A-Z trail guide also includes about a dozen 20-30 mile mountain routes which provide good training for ventures like the BGR or Jos Naylor. The rest of the book is packed full of interesting information not readily found elsewhere.

Seriously worthwhile book. Capable of providing many days of entertainment that are not to be found anywhere else. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Seeing this thread rang a little bell in my mind. A quick rummage in my desk drawer and I found it.

A very good little book. I was given a copy as a spot prize at the end of the 3 Peaks race a few years ago (I can only think that I was in such a state that they took pity on me). Well worth buying; I must get round to making more use of it.
