not done it before, but sounds good as light relief between two tougher weekends for me
if it's a nice day, the fancy dress fun run also sounds good entertainment for taking the family along

Does sound good. still undecided just entered Helsby Half Marathon hoping to beat last years time of 2:00:16 just have to remember where the finish is this year.Ran downhill for a while then a right at a T junction then a sharp left and finish line straight in front of you.Felt i could of gone under 2 hours with a clear sight of finish line!!!!!!!!
its only the 2nd running of the race (I think). The SCH club worked really hard last year and even seemd to have a crew running the race whilst helping with marshalling. Very friendly. As to the terrain - last year it was very muddy. Not too many hills, crossed a few fields, but lots of mud, but we had had weeks of rain beforehand. Bottle of beer for finishers too!
Think the beer has swung it for me
