    Coaches and Coaching.

I might sound like a total wet behind the ears novice here but are there such thing as specialist qualified Fell running coaches ?. The reason i ask is because after yesterday i am sure i must have made mistakes and that i could benefit from knowing the right techniques as this is all new. If there are such people are any near Sheffield ?. I have also joined the D.P.F.R. is there anyone there who could help ?. Sorry for bombarding people with questions all the time but i feel i have a lot to learn. Oh, one more thing are there any books on the subject and does the F.R.A. magazine touch on these matters.

You could contact my mate Keith Anderson who has a company Full Potential

Keith was Britsh fell running champion and a mean descender
He has been advising Chris Steele-Borrowdale who has had some great results.

    MOst clubs have qualified coaches.

Fell qualifications are relatively recent, but there are many, many endurance coaches at clubs all over who would be able to help you.

First port of call should be Dark Peak. Whether they have any coaches or not, they have plenty of runners that have been there, done it...
Their advise would be as good as most coaches could give.
