I sincerely hope so cos we'll have deserved a treat!

Testing but interesting course Kev! Had a recce round the course today.

Terrain is fairly tough...esp from pendle way up to CP1, mostly...okay all ...tussocks. Bit drafty today with the occasional smidgen of precipitation so I didn't hang around to look for ancient flints at Crow Hill.

Line from CPs 1 to 3 just the normal challenge of hidden streams, bogs (deep and shallow), more tussocks, and that sort of heather that just revels in untying the best tied laces and I reckon CP2 must have been some bronze age fortified site or something...it's surrounded by concentric moats!!!

If race day's anything like today route finding could be interesting. Confident (and competent!) navigation skills pretty much an essential.

I'd not recommend this one as a first race! But great for anyone who's after a cracking new route on unfamiliar ground; and after an 8-miler that feels like 10

Oh and Pudgy...tells 'em to keep the fryers on f'me

Now this sounds serious. Sounds like another recce might be required...

Separate thread I know, but anyone heard how Watto's got on in Borneo?

Sounds...err...sound to me! I'll double check with Wycoller (who...spookily enough is a local! ....also a work pal) but when we have a Wharfedale run from Trawden area we always end up there!

Grifter (the organiser) is away till tomorrow night but don't reckon he'd disagree with the Sun Inn suggestion!
