    New car recommendations

My car qualifies for the scrappage scheme and I am thinking about it but haven't got a clue about cars. Any recommendations or advice would be welcome - ideally I would like an estate but most of these seem to be a getting a bit out of my price range, so looking for something to get me up to the lakes with room for gear and enough oomph to carry a canoe on top.

Pagani Zonda in Orange would look nice in the car park field of a fell race.

Ford focus/mondeo estate sounds ideal for you though.
Audi A4/A6 estate (often called avant)
    Volvo do estates.....V70 and V50.

I was looking at the ford focus. They don't make it easy with the different models. Why can't they make just one?

We have purchased an 08 reg Audi A4 sportline 2.0diesel with 8,000mils ont clock mate. Very very very economical and going by a certain forumite on here it should last until im at least 60.
Im told the passat estates are pretty good as well

Im looking to prchase a vauxhall vivaro LWB high roof van 1.9 diesel
These are good vans with stacks of room
    But not many about sadly

Skoda Octavia Estate - cheap, solid, big enough, lots of extras - 1.9 TDI for just over 12k with scrappage. I had one from new and did 77k in 3 years without a problem.

I've got a Golf 1.9TDI, same engine as the Octavia. 65mpg and 70,000 miles in 3 years without problems.. I was thinking about changing it, but I'm more inclined to run it to 100,000 at the moment. An estate is appealing as I seem to have bikes in the boot most weekends.

Bollocks.. It'll break down now I've said that!

Never ever let a car know you trust it

I would have kept mine but it was lease car from work and its time was up (and so was mine!)
