    European Fell/Mountain Relays

Does anyone know of any good European Fell Relays that are set to take place in 2010 and would suit a team from the UK?

    Cheers!

There is one in October in Italy, i think it is called the Trofeo Vanoni. 3 legs with each leg approx 7k. It is twinned wth the Snowdon race

Yeah tends to be Snowdon Marathon weekend. Morbegno is twinned with Llanberis, hence the link between races, clubs, towns. Eryri normally send a team every year and a the English normally send a team.

I think the 'English' team is actually the first 3 British finishers at the Snowdon race. Roadrunner should be able to confirm that, i think he did this race a coupe of years ago

I have done this race. It's a very fast race.
They used to take first three from the Snowdon Race but not sure if this happens anymore. If it does then they don't want me to go as I haven't been contacted.
It attracts some very good teams, great atmosphere and great little town.

They obviously don't take first three from the Snowdon race anymore.

Hmmh, evidently......the possible rule of 'first three internationals' hasn't been followed either. If it was then would have been you, Holmesy and The Strain, big Andrew Davies would have been next choice but he's doing Dublin - though not even sure if he was asked. So in fact they opted for 2nd, 3rd and 5th?

But I don't recall them saying anything about first three runners home this year being selected, but I also didn't stop to the presentation as it was many hours after the race finished.
