Being a serious coffee geek (www.coffeegeek.com is a great website) I can't do without the stuff. When you get into it like me and start grinding your own beans in the morning, waiting 6mins for the machine to warm up, then a further 1-2 min for the steam wand to reach temp. then a good 1 min to froth the milk - a process taking at least 10 mins. When you've gone to all of that trouble you really can't be bothered to make another cup in the same day. Honestly, this stops me drinking more than one a day!
Instant does not cut the mustard.
I do like a good cup of tea but it goes right through me!
Aha - Twister - I'm also a coffee geek! However, I now only drink decaff. Crema's not as good but I cope OK with that! Going back to full fat coffee makes me a bit dreamy and grumpy - can't imagine running like that! I still drink tea but only have one or two a day and I usually make them weak.
I get some good decaff beans from Valvona and Crolla here in Edinburgh. Strange, but it's much nicer than the decaff from hasbean which I did not expect!
Oh - and by the way - top coffee website http://www.toomuchcoffee.com
i packed it in for new year resolution , had such incredible headaches , which i never had before , so went back on it . is it really that bad for you anyway ?
I hardly ever drink coffee so when I do it tends to send me a bit doolally. It also seems to give me sweaty armpits .
Slightly off topic, has anyone else discovered NiceCupOfTeaAndaSitDown.com?
Aha, yes , custard creams, so i take it , you won't be munching on them at the Yorkshireman , Emmilou. I'll have Rhubarb and Custards from Julian Graves , very nice!!
