Anyone going to be at the Dovedale Dash tomorrow? I know it's not really a fell race, but supposed to be fun! Hopefully the forecast for 1 1/4" of rain is wrong...

The extra rain will just make the river crossing more fun.
I'd forgotten about the DDD. It must be about 20 years since I did it. Ages before I knew fell running existed.
Good luck for tomorrow.
Fitness can't be stored. It must be earned over and over, indefinitely.
Think I'll need it.... spent the last week lounging and overeating so the first sprint could be interesting.
Aye, I'll be there - the start is about the only time I can get any speed going :-)
Hi folks,
Enjoyed yesterdays Dash having travelled down from Cumbria in wild weather.
Marked exactly 30 years since my first senior race the 1979 Dash BUT is there a good way of finding results? I think I finished 11th or 12th based on the guys just in front (first ten finishers only published). Just curious and a little vain at trying to compare my ancient effort against my youthful endeavours.
Top couple of results (who'd want to write up the 1150 odd competitors!)

I was broken so I only raced hard to the river, a shame as if only I'd have had two working legs and the chaotic start meant I might have tasted some glory - oh well another year.
'Normal' people are the ones you don't know very well.
