Another very good book written specifically for fell runners is "Mountain Navigation for Runners" by Martin Bagness (Misty Fell Books).

Its out-of-print but can be found in many shops for about £5.00.
I usually buy all copies I find for sale to other runners.

you might also want to check out www.joefaulkner.com - they arrange navigation and adventure race training, done by people who help set KIMM etc courses

or contact your nearest orienteering club - most of them have qualified coaches who'd give you some guidance

There's also a navigation course (aimed at walkers) at Northern College in Barnsley, held April, June and 3 times in July. £31.
