Definitely no pressure - With the wind at your back the smart thing to do would be to let Roadrunner lead on the first lap and you just tuck in behind him and draft off him as much as you can. Think about pulling ahead of him with about 400 metres to go on the second lap. I'll be on the course at that point offering instructions.
Hawkshead Tarail race on the 28th is my next outing i think.
To the Regiment - I Wish I Was There
Thanks for the advice, but I think priority 1 will be to not get lapped by RR. Assuming this doesn't happen I'll be doubly happy that RR hasn't gone home by the time I finish, or come to that, the timekeepers.
Undoubtedly you will be following your own advice at Hawkshead, though I won't be there with 400m to go to tell you how far RR is behind you.
This is the most Scenic race on the circuit these days, it came a close second to either the Buxton or Eyam half marathons.
Pictoresque views, quiant inner city buildings, friendly locals and a lovely river to amble along.
Oh when the blues...go marching in...
You coming to watch Chaddy?
Danbert and Notlob - come and say hello if you see me there!
Roger Rabbit - you should be quite close to me in this one?

You'll never Walk Alone!
Didn't see (or hear) Chaddy there today
For that matter I didn't see Danbert with 400 to go, just as well I didn't follow his raceplan
Did see you NotInta (that's the advantage of having an avatar that looks like you), next time I'll be certain to say hello.
Certainly less scenic than I had been led to believe
