    Wanted: Basic Running Watch

just want a watch with a lap memory - mine has just died, it had room for 1000 splits!, but I'd settle for 50 or more

so if you've upgraded to some fancy HRM/GPS gizmo and have a bog-standard watch lying around that you don't use anymore, I will take it off your hands for a few quid!

    Re: Wanted: Basic Running Watc

I have one of these: Casio PHYS STR-400

which I used for running, although it's branded for walking. Approx 18m old. (I have a Forerunner 305 now)

A couple of minor scratches on the casing.

Can see elapsed time and current time of day. Backlight. Stores weeks worth of data if you forget to log a run the same day. Step counter; you can set stride length and hence distance/ calories but I never bothered. Also has stopwatch for speedwork/ splits which runs independent of main timer./edit/ it doesn't however store multiple splits - 2 at most

I still have the User Guide, but not the box

Yours posted in a Jiffy bag for a small contribution - say £15 to include postage - Paypal me(pm for details) or cheque.

Unless you want a partial swap for a pair of size 9 fell shoes!

    Wanted: Basic Running Watch

Hi drmorris and Thanks for the offer!

I looked at the spec on the watch, and if I understand it correctly it has memory for 10 weeks and 7 slots per day, so I make that 490 runs that it could store, but not clear whether you can have splits on an individual session, so it might be a bit of faffing to "jig" it onto the the next "session" slot to mimic split-type activity

so I think I'll pass on it and wait for a more conventional watch...
