wanted: fell shoes for newbie

I'm reliably a UK size 9 in most shoes, am aware sometimes fell shoe sizes differ slightly.
I am training mostly on trails and canal paths/ fields around East Cheshire/ Bosley/ Shutlingslow etc.(Montrail Streak trail shoes; ASICS Cumulus on road)

Would like a pair of fell shoes to try, after sliding my way around the Passing Clouds 2 weeks ago(in the Montrails). Realistically I am not going to wear them much; hence thought might try 2nd hand. Thinking of eg Inov-8 Mudclaw

If none available will probably save up for a pair of Montrail Highlanders; however if anyone has a spare pair of new-ish 9 or 9.5 UK fell shoes going cheap...

and a jolly good fit.
Took them out and showed them Shutlingslow, a 7.5mile circuit from Langley via Standing Stone and Forest Chapel.
Excellent on wet grass, trail and dry rock, only slipped once, in cowpat on way down. Fine on short road sections too, and Forestry Commision MOT trails

Understand now how to run fast downhill - get new shoes!
