Re: My 2nd Pair of Fell Shoes

I bought x-talons as my first pair of fell shoes.....and as my 2nd pair.

Even if i was to stay in a lake for an hour, the amount of water they absorbed wouldnt be enough to even notice you where wearing then on your feet - well i've never paid any attention to feeling any weight anyway.

After ive worn them....i blast them with a hose-pipe.....squeeze abit of the water out and then leave then upside down....often put one on each of the two posts we have on our decking.
Then once the waters all drained out...i take the inners out and put them on the radiator until dry.

    Simple.

Well - finally got round to making a decision and ordering them - gone with some size 10.5 mudclaw 270s. Arrived this morning, and just had to go out for a run in them - about 5 miles or so and about 600m up & down.

Very pleased with them They're actually more comfortable than my mudroc 290s of the same size. Got to test them on dry and wet rock, mud, steep grass, loose scree and about 6 inches of snow at one point. Didn't let me down except for incident that almost put me on my arse, but that could have been a patch of ice coated rock. Felt very secure on the decent (about 600m down in 1 mile) although my left foot (the smaller one) felt a little too roomy - I guess I'll need to tighten the laces more on that foot.
