    Calderdale Way in summer 2010?

Anyone else fancy a run round the Calderdale Way some time in the summer? I walked it in 18 hours a few years ago, & I reckon I could probably get round in 10 or 11 hours running. 50 miles, plenty of hills, all on paths. Too early to make definite plans yet, but would anyone else be interested in making a sociable event out of it?

Wait and see if the Calderdale is in the ultra series again next year- then you could have lots of company!

You mean the Calderdale Hike? That's a different route (& I think it changes every year or two as well). I did it last year but I'm not doing it in 2010 as it clashes with the Highlander MM. The Calderdale Way is a 50 mile waymarked LDP around the edge of Calderdale. As far as I know the only race on it is the relay. I'm planning to do it on my own terms with anyone who fancies coming along - all we'll need is to work out where we can pick up water en route.

Thanks DT - hope to see you at some point beforehand to attach face to name. Will you be at the Hebden in January? Or the Edale Skyline? I'll wake this thread up in the spring after it's been hibernating & see if we can drum up any more takers.

Well I haven't managed to fit this one in yet. My only hope is going to be Sunday week (15 August), although I'll probably still be recovering from the Long Tour of Bradwell. I was thinking of starting from the Withens Clough car park near Cragg Vale at 8, and heading clockwise.
    1. Anyone else up for it?
    2. Does anyone know where water is to be found en route?
