    Stud Marks on the Summits

Got a copy for sale if anyone wants a unique Christmas present for someone.

Not mint condition, would describe it as well read.

PM me with sensible offers if interested, I'll give it a week before putting on e-bay if no good home found on here.

    Thanks

Don't mean to be awkward but could you give some indication of what a realistic price might be?

I understand the book is quite rare...

    Hi

I am not sure what a fair price is, I only know what I paid for it, a figure I would be delighted if I achieved.........

I was hoping to find a level, after all, anything is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

    Kind regards

    The original price was £15.00

It is not a particularly rare book; 1,800 copies were printed.

Copies can still be found in second hand book shops at reasonable prices.

Unfortunately a feeding frenzy on Ebay has pushed the price up to over £100. The record price was £204.99 in January 2007 (14 bids).

    Actually £8.95 +postage.

The last few on Ebay have gone for around £130 but they have been in very good condition ie were they ever read?

If you still want to sell- but to someone who would just like to read it as a fellrunner and then pass it on to another fell runner, rather than buy it as a collectors item etc etc. If not then I 'll live with it and wait..
PM me and see if we can decide a reasonable price

Re: Stud Marks on the Summits

SMOTS keeps coming up for discussion, I believe I am right in thinking that there are no copyright issues with this book anymore so why not PDF a copy and release it on the Forum.

There would be no issue with genuine collectors as they are only interested in unread quality books and most of the 1800 copies will have been well thumbed. For those amateur collectors it would still be a very limited edition but, for 'average fellrunner' who is interested in all the details etc it would be a goldmine.

    Any thoughts?
