    Pain in foot

I have a sharp pain in my foot – outside bottom of the right foot. At first I thought it was just bruising but now I think I’ve pulled something

Can you pull something in the foot?

Can this be the result of new running shoes?

Any ideas to make the pain go away?

Try rest and icing the affected area. What are the new shoes?

Alot of people seem to be getting foot problems from these 270's. If you have recently changed to these it could well be this. Best idea is to go for a few runs in your old trainers (as long as they are in one piece) and if the pain goes you know it is them and you can change. Never heard anyone have problems with the Walsh pb elites by the way.

Ive had similar problems, try googling poroneal tendon/tendonitis although some of the symtoms dont sound familiar it is possible to get pain localised along outer edge of foot, starting at bony point about mid way. However it is also likely it could just be a knock and a mysterious pain can haunt you for a few days. Im getting all kinds of foot issues at the moment Ice and a couple of days rest. Three days Icing for 20 mins at a time about 20 times a day, sounds alot but it works, the more times the better as long as you thaw out inbetween icing.
    good luck

I recently bought some mudclaw 330's felt great in the shop, but went on a run had similiar pain as your describing. After three runs though the pain is no longer there it might just be a case of your feet getting used to new footwear. I am loving my mudclaws now although they are treachourous on wet rock, cobbles etc.

    Re: Pain in foot

I had this pain along the outside of my foot with my Roclites and thought it was either a) bruising cos I'd taken the footbeds out and had done a lot of running on rocky paths, or b) the shoes were too narrow and cramping my foot (I've got wide, flat feet).

Never really got to the bottom of it. It was v painful but I was right enough to run Three Shires after two days' rest.
