    Asics Gel Trail Attack

Anyone know if they're a similar fit to other asics shoes (I'd expect 'em to be but thought I'd ask) and anyone got an opinion on them?

    fit the same

i had to get rid of my trail shoes as the excessive amount of cushioning, made them like high heels for off road...

Thanks trilathon - I'm OK with the cushioning (had asics trail shoes before, amongst others) - I just wanted to make sure the fit'd (still) be OK.

    Re: Asics Gel Trail Attack

I've got a pair of the black/yellow which are the Trail Attack WR. I found them to be fairly firm compared to my previous which were Nike Air Alvord, the grips don't really lend themselves well to mud as they are more of an array of small spikes and ridges rather than studded like the Nikes. They seem to be quite spacious in the toe which is a downside for someone with narrow feet like me. They are sort of medium height at the ankle, not as low as my Walshes or NB 840s but not as high as the Nikes, they also look to have a disproportionally large surface area on the front which i assume is the result of them being slightly wider.

I would say they would be the perfect shoe for something like the Settle Loop Trail where the terrain is varied but not muddy, and i would suspect more of a summer choice due to them not being studded.

If you're looking to buy them i'd recommend a pair but be prepared to have a winter mud alternative, hope this helps.

I have had a couple of pairs of Gel Trabucos and now have the Trail Attacks. The sizing and fit of both shoes are the same.
I also have a pair of Gel Foundation as road running shoes, which are much straighter than the Trail Attacks and a little bigger than the same sized trail shoe.
