Tony Ratcliffe V55 Saddleworth Runners -completed Calder Valley round in 2hrs 49 mins. Selected 'dry day' according to weather forecast, set off at 9.15am in showery weather but managed not to use cag. Nice running conditions in between showers.
If you are going to run this make sure you recce the route especially the first part and last three miles. The route description was very good, I slightly overshot the path going down into the woods after Stoodley....you would have to watch this bit in claggy conditions.

Well done Tony, another elite time and the 40th completion so far this year. 50 by the end of the year is looking probable now .

I and possibly some other members from Idle AC will be taking another run round this on Sunday 26th September. 8.30 Start from the White Lion. If conditions are good we may have a crack at the 3-00 elite time before it gets replaced by something less generous in 2011 !!!

All welcome ..... on the run and in the pub afterwards

Yes please MM! Count me in for this.!! Although the 3 hours sounds tough for me, so could you leave a jelly baby trail towards the end? I'm really looking forward to this as all your routes are always a treat!!

Can't make this one as I'm going to a stag do in Whitby. With luck I'll manage the next one. Have a good run anyway Tony: my betting's you're on course for 2:45 or better given your performance on the Bradwell Long Tour. Give it some welly!
