I was watching the last 25 overs in the pub with loads of others. There was nearly a riot when they stopped play with just 4 over as to play.

I see Shane "whinger" Warne is at it again. If he is a bit worried by players peeing on the grass he should go and experience the pre-race activities at your average fell meet to keep the thing in perspective

Nice 112 from William Porterfield in the Ireland/England ODI today.

Ireland 269/7, not fantastic but think they'd have taken that beforehand.

So... the Ashes start up again tonight. Any predictions? I'm going for 3-1 England. As in the summer, England simply have the better team player for player. No doubt players like Clarke, Watson and Mitchell will shine occasionally for Australia, but overall class will tell and we'll take the series.

    Brisbane - draw
    Adelaide - draw
    Perth - Aus win
    Melbourne - Eng win
    Sydney - Eng in

2-1, first two tests in a batters paradise

    Going to be tense!!!

I'll go 2-1 England. I think the Aussies are scared to death of Tremlett and Broad on bouncy pitches, so we'll see lots of runs and flat pitches. 2 drawn tests sounds about right.

I think England will have too much for them, and once again I expect them to win the key sessions with better big-game players. So I'll go:
    England win
    Draw
    Aussie win
    England win
    Draw
