I was going to go through and make that list, thanks for saving me the trouble.
If you see a bloke in a LandRover Discovery full of computer and WiFi equipment that'll be me. Look out for my little masts at some of the checkpoints.

Met a couple on the hills, forgot to get names but might see you again at Threshfield in a couple of weeks.

First time I'd ever navigated with a Harveys Map (well, not since Kimm 2003); bit odd at first but think it'll be ok.

Used my tnf enduro pack for the first time; well chuffed with it. Only did 15miles but I reckon it'll be spot on as I didn't know it was there. It's a squeeze gettting all the kit in but managed it just. I won't have much food with me on the day and I'll only need one bottle so that'll make a bit more space.

I found three kendal mint bars (from Hellvellyn Tri goodie bags over the last three years) and parcel taped them together for an emergency ration; it's about all it's good for!
Hi AndyA - Think that could have been us out for a little wander - we were chatting to someone on the way up Buckden Pike (well my other half was - I was puffing along a little way behind!). Hope you had a good day out - wasn't it lovely (until it started hailing).

After a week in Scotland stomping up munros I'm feeling as ready as I'll ever be, just hoping this sore throat isn't going to turn into a cold.

Looking forward to seeing a few of you at the start before you all charge off into the distance!!

Sweep stake anyone? I'm on an 18 hour schedule, based very loosely on a certain Mr. Nick Ham telling me that I should aim for my usual Hobble pace + 50% any other advice?

    Steampig,

I was hoping around a similar time, do you have any timings or a rough schedule for checkpoints?

    Cheers,

Its an unknown quantity for me but if I can go the distance that would be great and if I do it in under 20 hours, I'll be very happy.

    Re: Fellsman

    Nick is probably about right.
Have only done Fellsman once- 2 years ago in dry conditions.
Hobble for me is usually 5.40 Fellsman was 15.03 but we made some mistakes in the dark once grouped and I didn't realise you could ungroup at the road so could perhaps have managed 14.30 ish???
So hard to say as it will depend on weather on day, how wet and boggy underfoot, just how you go on the day, groupings etc etc
