I recently discovered Davis' Law, which relates to soft tissue length/strength and its ability to strengthen over time in proportion to the loading it experiences. The body will strip away material from connective tissue which is not experiencing high loading, leaving you prone to injury.

The bit i like is that the restrengthening of such tissue can be complete within 6-8wks. Compare that to the repair time for a tendon overload injury of 16-24wks [my estimate]. The benefits of doing your lunges every day whether you're in rehab or not are clearly evidenced.
