And they let in polytechnics. It's that sort of progressive thinking that lost us the empire.

Really? I'm surprised that Bamber Gascoigne (Eton, Magdalene College and Yale) has allowed it.

Was promised it down here but not much sign of it nor the supposed torrential rain.

Various things get me wound up. Mostly tv and football.

I flat out refuse to watch any modern tv, except for the excellent University Challenge.

Football had became a disgrace since "I were a lad"

At Peris on Saturday, a guy had to retire on Y Garn with a twisted ankle, and thought nothing of getting himself back down to Llanberis. On Sunday I watched a football match where a guy strained his calf, ran around on it for 5 minutes, then decided he couldn't cope, and fell to the floor, and had to be ferried the 20 yards to the dugout on a flipping golf cart. That's just the tip of the iceberg where that sport is concerned...
Sorry Travs you have a long way to go if you are still prepared to even consider watching a game of football.
I was a bit of an oddball until I was abducted by aliens; but I'm perfectly OK now!

I'm going fishing, campervan packed and back at the weekend, possibly. On my own I can be as grumpy as I like - bliss .
Don't roll with a pig in poo. You get covered in poo and the pig likes it.

It's these selfish types that just don't like to share that wind me up.

So, JohnK, you are able to gloss over those inane requests on the FB page without even a flicker of irritation/exasperation??
