    Re: Today's Art Exhibition

Thank you very much Alexandra! I have to admit that art & running do take up pretty much all of my time with just a enough left for friends and my allotment (could do with a bit more for that!).

What are the dates of the Exhibition, I have a friend coming over form Bordeaux at the end of May who loves Henry Moore, the YSP was on the cards plus a walk to the Woolpacks, Kinder that inspired him, so this would be great too.

I have a feeling that this may be the one she is seeing in London, so it may be moving on by May.

This is incorrect. Happily, the Henry Moore sculptures are here in Leeds til the 12th June. It is the associated exhibition of prints and drawings that ends in April.

Worth another visit, though, when I'm in mourning after the Henry Moores have been taken away. But that won't be for a while. There are footpaths that traverse the YSP, I think - it might be fun to contrive a run to and through it, and that might help with the transport problem.
The Jaume Plensa exhibition down there is well worth seeing - I went a few weeks back - after a run around local footpaths and bridleways first of course!

Visited the Tate in St Ives they seem to roll the same stuff out every couple of years. couple of new exhibitions were; a crab Video installation) being bullied at night by an artist with a torch and the atrium full of white Balloons, which I thought was quite interesting because it made me think about space and matter, not a play area the gallery supervisor a infomed me though.

I've just been up to visit Cold Stones Cut at Greenhow near Pateley Bridge. Very phallic piece of land art by the quarry but well worth a visit even if only for the great 360 degree view.

    Re: Today's Art Exhibition

I second that Alexandra, well worth going to. It comes down on the 5th September when (and this is a shameless plug) my exhibition will go up in the North Gallery (the two smaller rooms at the Mercer Gallery) from the 10th September and the Northern Lights exhibition (new artistic talent from the North) starts in the main gallery. I'll post details of mine nearer the date, its based on the Vale of York Viking Hoard.
