    Re: Moelwyn Peaks Race

Weather was nowhere near as bad as forecasted, but that weather arrived later on in the evening. Cool conditions, windy, no cloud, about perfect running conditions.

Rich Roberts won in 1:18 ish, a minute outside James McQueens record I think. Roland Stafford 2nd and Francis Blunt third, Math Roberts 4th in 1:24 ish, me 5th. Not sure of exact times. Also in the top 10ish were Scott Butterworth, Chris Near, Euan Morton, Steve Gililand, but not sure of exact placings. The womens race was won by Kate Bailey, Anna Bartlett 2nd and Andrea Roberts 3rd I think.

Well organised, well marshalled course, great race, packs a lot into the 10 miles.

Iain - That looked like Alan Ward of Dark Peak running with you at the dam!

Very hot showers, thankyou. Thanks to all the marshalls standing around in those cold windy conditions and to the organisers for an excellent event.

    See you next year.

Well done all. We didn't make it in the end - due to the unexpected warm dry weather we spent the day climbing instead
