    Wink Courting on the fells

Whilst out last night in the Chew Valley I came across a "courting couple" who were, ahem, very intimate. Bizarrely enough, they were lying in the tussocks about half way up the climb to Whimberry, near Ramsden Clough.

Keep in mind the conditions (driving showers every 10mins and gusting wind) which you would have thought would have been a "passion killer"; it was bloomin' nippy out in shorts let alone thinking about getting up to any hanky panky. Still, they seemed happy enough.

Anybody else caught a couple unawares?

I happened on a large redhead ' giving head' to a guy on the Rossendale 'Round the Hills' route once.........he was a bit of an old codger and I was tempted to ask how much she was charging.

Twasn't Disco Stan or Cantona was it perchance?

A good friend of mine claimed that he saw a guy giving a girl a bum job while doing hill reps at an local beauty spot in my homeland.....the couple had no shame and continued

I once nearly got frisky on the hills with my wife but a sense of indecency got the hold of me and we just took pictures sitting on the stile.

Didn't recognise them if that's what you mean. Unless it was one of the Saddleworth lot?

They were prepared for the bad weather though - both had waterproof jackets on (but no pants)...
