No more grid refs, the idea is to make it interesting but it is going to be fairly obvious at the start and finish.

Headtorches not essential unless you navigate as good as Stick !!!!!

Kit will be according to conditions on the day and taxi fare for the non navigators
...ermm...I think there was a question on start-time there me'ol griffy...

Best info I have is that it's 2 pm start (I hear you wanted to avoid the mid-day sun Grifter....wonder why.. )

Let's hope it's hot and humid!

    Don't mind a bit of a scout round...never harms!

    Let's set a day/time after tomorrow's club run. I'll bring me calendar...

Grifter, you said the routes flagged up the road to the stile on Worston Moor. Have you got a grid reference for it? Cheers
If you take the lane from Downham towards Worston for a mile it starts to climb with Pendle straight in front as it turns sharp right a tarmac track carries straight up with a sign saying cul de sac follow that it quickly becomes a path and the stiles at the top, then take the right hand side of the gully up the steep bank the race will be flagged to there then your on your own. good luck

Good course Grifter - unfortunately I'll be in the Dolomites on my jollies!!

I could tell you the route of the Downham & 5 Clough races. Depends whether you mean the original Downham course which used to be on a Saturday in early August organised by Simon Moyle, or the later revived version which Colin Taylor organised as a midweek evening race. Both of which took in Worsaw Hill as a sting in the tail.

Sounds like a good race this one.
i'll be doing the swiss alpine marathon on this day so i will have to have a go the year after.
Nice to see the fat bloke and the skinny bloke organising a reccy though.
Might be interested myself if it's on a sunday.

I could bring my bins to keep you in view.
    A little short for me.
Someone said you couldn't get under 4 hours on the 3 peaks pudgy, is that right?

Nowt's too short for you Disco Smurf. I haven't yet got under 4 hours, not couldn't. Just not as rich as you Rossy types to pay for my entry this year, when I could have given Jethro a run for his money (Archer, not Lennox). Well done, anyway, I thought you'd be on for 3.45. Stop for ice creams at ribblehead?
