I finally saw an ad in a print magazine, but have seen no sign of the actual shoe. Just curious,

released second week of september, heard good 1st impressions abt them, but have to wait and see.

arent they advertised in the last fell runner on pete blands page? or maybe i dreamt that.
I spoke to someone whos seen them in the flesh and he says theyll be great for short fast races but not for long races.

an early release pair have coped well with Pheny ghent and Blackstone edge, finishing pretty high up the mens field on both occasions, and got good feedback from both

Are you suggesting that the x-talon is a trail shoe? I would argue that it is a fell shoe myself. or as the name suggests, a cross country shoe. Its quite an agressive tread.
