Newbie saying "hi"
Hello All
I've been lurking for a while, so thought it's time to join.
Haven't been running for long (c. 1.5 years), but have certainly caught the bug. Enjoyment, health and stress relief. Mainly run a mixture of road and trail. Looking to increae the mix slightly towards trail/fell. Much more scenic compared to roads.
Turn the big Four Oh! this year.
Reading Feet in the Clouds at the moment. What an inspiration. Must keep telling myself that the BGR is way past my ability!
Did the Grizedale Trail Race the other weekend, which was good 'fun' (really enioyed the post race flapjack and tea). Though not sure if that's caught by the definition of a Fell Run? Ran the Cloud 9 near Ilkley last year. Crumbs, my first experience of down hilling fell-style! Still, managed to stay upright.
I've signed up for the Offroad Yorkshireman Full Marathon this September:eek: It'll be my first full marathon, so very much looking forward to that challenge, and have a training plan in place (though have yet to make sure that it incorporates enough off-road experience).
Cheers for now.

And don't think the BGR is THE holy grail of fell running. There are many challenges out there to suit whatever you enjoy doing on the fells. Enjoy your running and good move shifting from the black stuff
