It's a Kracking KFR Weekend!!!
Re: 3 DAYS (of Madness!?!) IN
Three cracking races and quite a socialable way to spend a fell running/racing weekend. Careful as Mount Famine is tougher than the stats suggest and has definitely one of the daftest starts on the fell running calendar. Lantern Pike has a good turn out of youngsters. Its a really nice series of three. By sunday everyone feels in quite a chatty mood, I don't know whether thats because your race vest hums by then, the legs don't work or the race starts in the field next to the lovely pub.
Re: 3 DAYS (of Madness!?!) IN
Blimey.......
No takers??????
Surely Knott.......
Having said that, there have been Junior enquries...
particularly for the LPD, which is something very special!
And, the Senior LPD is akin to Hayfields very own Burnsall....
Come now don't be shy, time to nail your colours to the mast....?
+ of course there will be prizes too...
hope to see you there..
Re: 3 DAYS (of Madness!?!) IN
Ha.....the power of thought???
Just shows you..:o.!!!!
Thanks MB, I can see your prize now ;) !?!
(But, can we afford it :D?)
Re: 3 DAYS (of Madness!?!) IN
As long as I beat Andre Vais over the three days this year I'll be happy - have to run harder on friday night ;-)
Re: 3 DAYS (of Madness!?!) IN
Well, it's all a bit quiet......this morn'...
Having said that there was quite a throng on the fells around Hayfield last night!
Some from the flat lands were even seen fraternising with the "enemy”…
Whilst others were checking out the routes on & off the Pike & Mount Famine….
Hope to see you back again tonight for the 1st bout of Madness!!!?
Re: 3 DAYS (of Madness!?!) IN
I'll be there for all three - all things being equal i.e. not overdoing it tonight and not dying a death tomorrow. It's always a challenge on Sunday to get the legs working to start with.
I just wish LPD was a bit earlier so I could teach the kids that the proper order of things is race followed by a long lunch in the pub

Where's registration for the Lantern Pike Dash - in the Scout Hut or the pub?
