'Ow do,
Am looking for a shoe that offer a bit more in terms of support and cushioning etc than my favourite fell shoe, the Mizuno Wave Harrier.
I see that Mizuno do a Wave 'Ascend' and a 'Cabrakan'.
Does anyone have any experience wearing/using these shoes etc? The Harrier fit is spot on for me so keen to try the more "trail-y" Mizunos.

Bit of a curveball, but I'm a huge fan of the NB MT840. Trail oriented with good cushioning but also suitable for the fells if its not too extreme. You could certainly Trunce in them for example. And I ran at Bradwell in them OK as well as taking them out on a few 16 and 17 milers around and about the Peak District. And they're only £50. I've got two pairs and they are absolutely brilliant. I like the Wave Harrier too, but my pair haven't seen the light of day since I brought the NBs home.

Flippin' 'eck. Things are getting complicated! I am due to nip into Accelerate and try some on. Ta for tip about the NB shoes, they've been suggested to me as well. There's also the Brooks Cascadia to try....Quote:

I'm a "Harrier man" too, and I've got a pair of Ascends that I really like as well
they are a lot like a road shoe though, with a thick "blocky" sole, so no good for anything too technical, and the grip's no good for anything too muddy
I use them for more traily runs, especially if there's going to be a significant amount of actual road involved along the way

I've not seen much mention of Mudrocs on the forum. Mudclaws seem popular but the Mudrocs rarely get a mention. Generally Inov8 don't suit me but my Mudrocs are the only pair out of three that I've kept hold of. For the time being ;).
