2011 Championship - Race 6
Despite the announcement on the felljunior website that no extra points would be awarded, it has been brought to our attention that a number of participants believe that no points will be awarded at the final race at Carlton in Cleveland on Sunday 25th September.
This is NOT the case; the following points will be awarded, 50 for 1st, 48 for 2nd, 47 for 3rd, .... 1 for 49th. This is exactly as in the previous 5 races. It is only the bonus points, which will not be awarded due to the clash with the Home Internationals.
Please support this well organised race with testing courses in superb scenery on the North Yorks Moors. There are still many positions and awards to be decided.

Well done to Blackburn. Some great individual performances this year in the Championship.

Pity about the poor marshaling at today's race which led to many runners going the wrong way and affecting results.
I hope that now the season is over there will be some serious discussion on the organisation and future of junior fell running.

How many of those who went off course reccied before the race, or studied the maps at registration or on the CSRT website? It was noted that the front runners in each age group had been seen out on the course beforehand.

It is a continuous debate, which takes up many hours of the volunteers involved.

Well spotted KK - as I'm so busy I missed the deadline to put in our Open Team and VET Team entry so we are a bit gutted, but hopefully someone else will come in and take some of the jobs off me and it won't happen again.
If anyone knows whether we can still get a team or two in I'd be grateful to know.
