Anyone know how long it takes to get back to light jogging after an appendectomy, assuming there are no complications?

Not seen any Appendixes kicking about. There was a placenta on the hill yesterday if that helps?
Cheers Steve.
My daughter had two weeks of not doing very much and was then back to normal
Woo hoo! That's a very cheering opening bid! I believe you're not meant to lift weights for 6 weeks, but jogging is basically just fast walking...isn't it?
Was it open or key-hole? If open take it easy for a few weeks. Go on your gut feeling (excuse the pun) and if you feel any pain when exercising then back off for a few more days. Key-hole means you recover quicker but not all surgeons are doing that technique yet.
Get well soon :-). I fell out the Christmas tree the week after having mine removed and fell down the stairs 2 weeks after!
I had mine out when I was a kid. I remember feeling a bit fragile for about a week and within two weeks there were no noticeable effects (bar the scar). I wasn't running at the time though, so I'm not sure whether I would have felt up for a jog!
I thought you looked as if you had lost a bit of weight :) Take it easy and listen to Ingrid, v. relaxing, yes?
