Just a gentle reminder to put this new race in your calendar:)
It promises to be a grand day out with prize giving in the Festival Marquee, free food to all runners and locally hand reared ale (not free:().
It would be fantastic to see some familiar faces there!!

Re: Bollington Festival 3 Peak
I'll be marshalling so hang on and we'll share a beer!
When do we lock horns again? I did Noonstones again and am doing the Downfall, Anniversary Waltz, Wasdale, Langdale and Sedbergh, amongst others. What about you?

Quite fancy this as it'll be me first fell race since yorks 3PPP....anyone done it before ?
I'm guessing it climbs up, erm, Pott Shrigley/ Back of Lyme Park hill though my geography of the area is as cloudy as the misty hills:)

Looks like it starts on Middlewood way and uses the canal towpath for a few sections too. Couple of sections I'm not too familiar with but it looks like more of a sturdy trail shoe rather than fell runners. I'm looking forward to it.
Bollington Festival 3 Peaks
yep, got this one inked in
looks a great new route, and as I can't make Rainow this year, this'll do nicely for getting me up onto Kerridge/White Nancy
Re: Bollington Festival 3 Peak
This is a new race, which visits the 3 summits of Kerridge Hill, White Nancy and Nab Head. Below is a link to a map of the route.

It starts at 2pm on Saturday (9th May), but please turn up in plenty of time as registration is likely to be in the festival beer tent on the recreation ground next to the Vale Inn, and there is a short walk to the start on the viaduct. Car parking at the Vale may also be limited, so if people can use the car park by the Arts Centre or behind the library that would help.
Hope to see you all on Saturday

Please get a copy of the results to [email protected] for posting on the Fellrunner website, wherever else they may be posted.
It was a good route, well marshalled - very fast start along the Middlewood Way, a few queues at kissing gates, but tough runnable ascents. I enjoyed my tussle with Welsh Harrier, and managed to get my own back on him for beating me on the Pipe Dream in March.:D
Thanks to everyone involved.
P.S. Well done to Blue on being first Lady and first Junior. Will you be able to take advantage of the prizes of the meal for two at the Vale Inn, and the bottle(s) of wine?
