Both of our local races,Whittle Pike and last nights Pilgrims cross were won convincingly by Welsh raider Richard Roberts fom Eryri. I think he surprised some of the local lads who eyes on the win. At Whittle he beat English Junior International fell runner Anthony Dalton from the host club and at Pilgrims heat beat Joe Johston also fom the host club and English Junior International fell runner. He also broke the course record.
Next Weds evening it's the final race in the midweek series the Golf Ball race. ( unfortunately Richard won't be there as he is heading home after visiting the area ) hope to see you there.
Very rapid results! My first time doing both this and last weeks Whittle Pike. The gentler hills last night were a bit of a relief after what felt like a tough route last week, although it did mean there were no excuses for walking. Thanks Rossendale Harriers, hope to do both races again.
