Tragedy on Kinder Scout

:( Don't know if anyone has already heard about this but yesterday a lone fellrunner had a heart attack and died while running on Kinder. A walker found him and raised the alarm. He was a very close friend of my dad. Brings the "What fell to die on?" thread close to home! And in time it will be of comfort to his friends and family that he died doing something he loved. It serves as a reminder to take care of ourselves while out there alone.

Very sorry to hear this :( Thoughts to you and your family and as you state hopefully in time they realise he left doing something he loved.

Sad news, sympathies to family and friends, shame we can't keep running for ever:(

I was on Kinder on Thursday with a group and we saw from an distance an Air amulance landing on the Northern edges.
