It's a shame the selectors wouldn't take the girls that are 15 (even though the event allows).
On a line through the 2 girls that went, Laura Riches and Mel Hyder would have been 1st and 2nd and the other leading U16 Girls would have been right up in the mix as well.
Interestingly both girls are older than the leading Scottish athlete, Scout Adkin who makes up 16 in the middle of August.
Don't be surprised to see the girl's team cruise to victory next year if they all keep their form.
