You'll not need a mug either if you're not bothering with the tee (tea)

Re: Anniversary Wa! Entries
hey, does anyone know where i could access a map of the course for the junior races or know where it goes?
-
Re: Anniversary Wa! Entries
As far as I know there are no published junior routes, other than on the day. However, they all start in the second field to the south east of the village hall, and go in the direction of Cat Bells. They will be well flagged and marshaled. More info here.

Re: Anniversary Wa! Entries
Thanks for that, hopefully see you there.:)

Re: Anniversary Wa! Entries

Im just wondering, what if there's a newcomer who doesnt know about online entry, travels 2 hours to get there, and cant run? Seems abit pathetic to me
I am presuming that there will be entries on the day because it is unfair for that to happen to anyone, and they would clearly be put off from the sport.

Wynn has specifically stated no EOD (see AW and felljunior websites and FRA calendar), which is why I have emailed as many clubs with junior runners I can think of/find including Cornwall AC. You will find that James has entered. There were 109 entries as of 2nd April.
-
Re: Anniversary Wa! Entries
I think that if you do the FRA Series, you are probably in the FRA and have the calendar.
If not you have the website.
There's really no excuse.
Many races have pre entry only - if you are a race organiser with limited help, you can do without tieing up people for entry on the day when they could be marshalling etc

Any chance of a pre-entries list? Thanks.

Its not the principal that james has entered, its the fact that somebody may not have known to enter online. Emailing everyone is good, but doesnt mean that everyone will find out about it. I'm not trying to criticise here, as yes i agree it does save alot of hassle on the day, its just as far as i remember online entry hasn't been used for a junior championship race before.

It is the first time for no EoD, hence the extra publicity and reminders. However, it is the race organiser's decision. As WP says, it states "on-line entry only" in every official place an entrant is likely to look and should be looking. I am aware that some families choose (for some bizarre reason) to obtain their race information from obscure unofficial sources, despite warnings about the dangers of such information being out of date or incomplete. I don't think any more can be done.

Re: Anniversary Wa! Entries
Coiners is on the week after and is EOD ONLY, Strictly NO!!! pre entries will be accepted. You have been warned.;)

Re: Anniversary Wa! Entries
A final reminder; this race is on-line entry only.

Re: Anniversary Wa! Entries
Positively your last chance; this race is on-line entry only.
Closing date in 48 hours - Thursday 22nd April.

Re: Anniversary Wa! Entries
And some of the flags will be out on Thursday night with the bulk being put out on Friday night, the flags on the ridge won't go out until the Saturday morning.
Same coloured routes as last year, U/16&18 red flags, U/14 yellow flags, U/12 blue flags. Non-championship U/10 green flags and U/8 will be marked around which ever field the senior race starts in, as soon as the seniors have gone!
See you Saturday.

Yeah but the u18s dont exactly have a very steep climb its more on a slope with a scarmble at the top.

Re: Anniversary Wa! Entries
I'm just wondering if the Final Entries will be posted - they have been updated as we went along but I noticed the TWA was taken off after the closing date.
Can we have the full final entries on line please?

Re: Anniversary Wa! Entries
Any feedback on the race from anyone who was there as the results arent out yet. Who did what, who stood out?????
Whats the unofficial inter club comp looking like?
-
Re: Anniversary Wa! Entries
James ellis won the u18s, but kristian edwards won the race alltogether, Max wharton had a cracking run in the u14s to win, the u12s was won by a blackburn girl awesome run. u10s was won by Josh newbold.
-
Re: Anniversary Wa! Entries
Cheers Scott I heard Max had done well. Surprised by Kristian though he couldnt beat james knox last year so must have had a good winter, was the U12 race won by a girl then. WOW
-
Re: Anniversary Wa! Entries
Yeah great runs there, James knox got selected for the mini marathon will be interesting at coiners between them two as james has been doing lots of xc but only just managed to pip kristian last year. Yeah some Blackburn girl called elizibeth had a good lead too :O
-
Re: Anniversary Wa! Entries
sorry slight adjustment I didnt win the U18, damaged my feet again and really struggled in for last part. ended up coming 3rd!!
literally collapsed after line, popped shoe of to find all the skin had come off my heel again.... not the ideal start to the championship!
hopefully the series will improve from here...

Re: Anniversary Wa! Entries
