The danger seems to be breaking off the 'spike'
if we think tyhat happened (and I don't think it has yet) the we keep an eye on it. If it is very red still 24 hrs later I would get it checked. Many GPs etc are not that clued up on Lymes disease ( I guess they don't meet it often) so you may need to explain etc
