Like Iain says you don`t need support for WHW I have done the race which was OK but the logistics of support crew, fussing at rendevous etc really made hard work of an otherwise straight forward ultra', I resolved never to do another ultra where support is needed.
Again as Iain says its a doodle to run solo in either direction i.e. North - South, South - North, using public transport for the return should you need it Not sure if anybody has done it both ways back to back (Now there's an Idea )
I will be Backpacking it next year with my wife but we are linking it with the EHW through to Aviemore and then working our way through to somewhere on the East coast and then getting a train home, should be good for 200 miles +
Anyway back on topic Congrats on getting your places on the WHW race, just train well and enjoy.

No. 137. Three previous races at 22:15 (2007), 20:49 (2010) and 20:44 (2011), so your guess is as good as mine!

No 78 for me. Finish first, sub 24, as close to 20 would be very happy.
Hope it's not as hot as today though.......phew!
