You just have to build the hours up DT. Start with an hour in the chair then an hour out till you have built the reps up to 4 hours at a time. Its all about time on your backside! Make sure you have plenty of snacks and liquid refreshment on hand though as they come in handy when the tracker starts sticking :rolleyes::DQuote:

Here is an earlier four day (31 hours running) recce by Claire.
We hung around and watched Claire come in she was still smiling and up beat, a really good effort and she deserved to get round after digging that deep in that weather and she even found time to come over and chat and thank us for the cake and stuff we passed over at wAsdale a really nice young lady. There was quite a crowd of us in the end me and bill bumped into Jon Steele and Shirley, adnan manhar marmalizer was with us and a few lads form races today and support from another round joined us we out numbered Claires lot in the end. All I all a good weekend out.

Just got back home & the sun is shining. Respect due to anyone out on the hill in tough conditions like Friday night / Saturday morning. Well done Claire on completing. Big, big apology to Daz for yours truly backing the wrong (fell) pony on the way up Skiddaw (please don't ask) - next time the gap between us will be paper thin. Was an eye opener seeing what it takes - 3rd time lucky Daz ?
Good to meet up with a fair few forumites old & new faces.
Sadly not folks - got round in 25h24m but with a bit of cajoling managed to touch the Skiddaw trigpoint in 23h59m!!!. Was flying over Legs 1 & 2 and most of Leg 3 but then the three large ascents of Seat Sandal, Fairfield and Dollywaggon just killed me and I was going backwards from thereon. However, so many positives, fantastic support from the pacers, people navigating when they couldn't see beyond the end of their noses and brilliant family support at the handovers. Apart from the clag, and a few showers early one I wasn't too bothered by the weather, including the almost total lack of wind, and completed the evening and overnight sessions without gloves. Best of all after 3 "dry" weeks I am now happily rehydrating in The White Horse in Scales. Good things come to those that wait.Quote:

Great effort from everyone out in those conditions. As I drove back from wasdale the rain seemed to be getting heavier. It didn't let up till the evening. Good to meet some more folk off here and put some faces to names. Daz, when you decide to go again I'lll hopefully be fit for a leg and would be up for helping out. From reading how your training went, you were more than ready. The luck of the weather really can make or break it.
Well done guys, weather was 'orrible!!
We were 'hydrating' in the Dog n Gun and also nipped out to see Claire just after finishing. A little emotional but still smiling.
