Amex, was that meet at Moot at 1030 or 2230?
I want the chance to get in a couple of good shots from a decent vantage point so need to know angle of sun or to bring night vision gogs.
Merry seems to be offering loan of GPMG on another thread, might come in handy - who knows.

Ok all
the date is set, 23 December 10.30 meet at moot hall. the route Braithwaite camp site - grisdale pike- Ladyside pike-Hopegill head- Grassmoor-sail-outerside-Stile end-Barrow-braithwaite lodge-campsite.
Walkers to start at 9 (i will meet walkers to ensure they all get clocked in and know the route, maps will be issued and a kit check and emergency wind up phones will be issued with contact tel numbers programed in)

I'll be there on Tuesday, but not sure what time yet so can't be sure about a run. Will definitely be there in time for a beer or two though.

Provisionally got the night off, so provisionally camping at Braithwaite, jogging a bit, then eating copious amounts of curry, and drinking voluminous amounts of beer, and leaving small deposits of stomach contents all over Keswick. Ahhh happy days!

If you attended last year entrance into the run, pub and loft is free!;)

OK i made the free bit up but if you need to convince people as to what a good time you will have, you can use the example of how much money your saving by attending this fine event.
List of folk so far will be out in December but you will all have to remind me of who is coming, i have booked a table for 15 so far but am sure they will alter if needs be. It is also year 2 of the dance off, and i am not missing this time (god willing) so i am guaranteed to win. there is also a prize for the first person to drink ten pints the prize is a pink pony vest! girls will have to drink the same!

Struggling at the moment to get the Monday off of work, but if I can get it I'll drive up to Keswick a day early and will be up for some sort of a run followed by beer as a warm up to the main event.

Don't miss it Hanneke! We had an ace time last year meeting new friends, eating curry, watching footie on tv, drinking beer and dancing etc. Seem to remember wandering around up a mountain too getting cold but that's not really the focus of the event ;) :D

If SteveS doesn't come the dance off could be wide open too :)

Have you stayed before?? I found the woman a bit fellrunner unfriendly. Even after I took my shoes off outside I had to take my socks off. This was after the run though.

Is it me or are all B&B owners a bit wierd.

Every very withdrawn or over enthusiastic, no inbetween.

I have booked my room B&B at the George pub top of town twin room £80 40 each not to bad as the bar will be open at breakfast!!

Right, being somewhat wary of weird axe murdering, poison dispensing, shotgun wielding ladies with a cleanliness fetish I have changed my accommodation to somewhere more hassle free. I think the owner is someone called Bates. Someone with such an ordinary name cannot possibly be anything other than normal and rather boring?:D:D

I am actually spending a few days eating, drinking and running celebrating a friends birthday in the Sedbergh area, so could come from there on the 22nd. It does look like I have to collect my mother from Cardiff airport though on the 24th in the afternoon...

I suppose gallons of coffee will make me manage that on the 24th? I am sure she will want to go to bed early when she arrives :D

Now, where shall I stay then on the 23rd, any suggestions? Or do I just kip for a few hours in the car then make my way south? :cool:
