My envelope was totally ripped and I am surprised the contents made it!
Another good un. Thanks to all who put it together. You do a great job, it is much appreciated:thumbup:
I can't believe no one else has noticed that Barack Obama (!!!) is on the cover (illegally?) leaping over a gate tied up with string! When did he take up fellrunning? Or is it a one-off to celebrate being re-elected?
(ps My terrier usually rips a chunk out of anything that comes through the letter box, especially if it's marked "do not bend" or "fragile".)
Guick, yes I noticed that. Very irresponsible what with him being president and everything!
It's not often I hear about the new issue from the postbox rather than the forum!
A reminder about the new FRA U20s Champs, which is included in the Championships section on p37, and with some background information in the Juniors section on p38-39.
Expect a post in the Juniors forum later.
The latest mag has made it to North Wales!
Now arrived in Halifax.
To Bolton too, in fact it delayed me getting back to work after lunch. Maybe I need to banish it from the kitchen table :w00t:
Very sad to see Mike Hancock's obituary; an astonishingly successful coach, whose contribution to junior fell running will be missed by many.
My dog hasn't eaten this issue.
Nice surprise after work!
Always nice to arrive home and see the Fellrunner waiting for you.
Enjoyed the editor's note. The mag is definitely appreciated, all photos articles and everything that goes into getting it together!
Bit less positive with the Chairperson's article. Something along the lines of, 'changes are inevitable...' Had worrying visions of hi-vis jackets and crash helmets, but maybe the changes won't be that great. And I'm sure we're in good hands.
Much appreciated anyway.
mine arrived yesterday, I always appear to be on the first post list. spent yesterday reading and getting some much needed enthusiasm. another great issue.
Arrived too in Nottingham. As always a great read and a good build up to all the events of the next few months
Got mine :-) not got it off MrRTS yet to have a proper look though. Just a quick scan but looks good stuff as usual. Nice one to all involved putting it together
Oh dear....
Not in this mornings postal delivery either:confused:
The 3 Peaks article is whetting the appetite nicely !
Really enjoyed the interviews with the LCT winners. Always interesting to hear about things from the people at the sharp end (plus Tom Addison and someone called Ali Brownlee).
And spotted an interesting typo on page 93: 'legendary fellrunner Josh Naylor'! Not sure why that jumped out at me.
Can anyone give me heads up how you go about getting the fellrunner magazine discussed in this thread?
Cheers
On the Difference between Typos and MistakesQuote:
Please note: there is a typo in The Fellrunner - Yetholm is on Sunday.
i think the latest mag is one of the best yet,
well done to all involved.
i must add that the photos just get better and better.
Hasn't made it to France yet. Hoping that it comes soon...
Agree with Dylan. Im amazed how such a relatively small organisation can produce such a quality magazine. There are some cracking articles in there. Not least of which is my OMM partner Dave's write up on the epic PTL on page 130.
There's also my advert for the Joss Naylor charity prints on page 95 (or just skip to www.mickwren.com and click on the picture of Joss).
Was here when I got home today;)
I've not opened it yet though
Mine's just arrived...
Mine's arrived as well:D
Anyone know who the new editor is yet?
