Either way Aussies are doomed!
England 30 for 3  well its two better than 28 for 3 I suppose
England get the last Aussie wicket in the last over of the day. Well played lads
Oh Lanky, Lanky, Lanky, Lanky, Lanky, Lanky, Lancashire
We battered the tykes last night. I was grateful that Yorkshire sucumed to defeat in only the 11th over, otherwise my hangover would have been much worse this morning.
Old Trafford is looking perfect for next weeks ashes.
146 for 3, a steady start by the Aussies but that third umpire decision to dismiss Khawaja caught behind was a bit out of order!
My rain dance has produced some precipitation at Alf Towers in North Manchester but it doesn't seem to have reached Old Trafford yet
It's belting it down in Didsbury must be raining at OT now...
Rain is looking good which is more than I can say for the English batting
Ashes retained thanks to the Manchester Weather
Yes, it's weird seeing the players being mobbed by the crowd for avoiding losing thanks to not being able to finish the game due to the weather. Again, difficult to explain to a non-cricket fan.
But speaking from a cricket fan's point of view. Yeah, in your faces everyone from Australia! :) Sport brings out the best in us all.
Another reason why cricket is a completely bonkers game. I think a 5 day test should have the hours of play set in tablets of stone and they should keep on playing between rain showers until the time is played. Either that or they should make it an indoor game :)
Monty wtf?
Lancs a bit unlucky last night, chasing 202 they fell one short. Brown's dismissal looked a bit dodgy to say the least, given out bowled when the ball didn't hit the wickets, the keeper knocked the bails off with his gloves. Not sure where the square leg umpire was looking to miss that but the keeper must have known what happened
Getting very interesting now in last half hour after Australia's good start in their second innings. 179-6.
England win the series http://i592.photobucket.com/albums/t...it/mexwave.gif
Stuart Broad or Ian Bell for man of the match
A NZ friend been staying the last few days, he left this morning and this result will make him sooooo happy .
I see Darren Lehmann has joined the whinging club with his comments on Stuart Broad. Michael Clarke is keeping quiet

Looking like a draw, England have lacked fight and the weather appear to be in our favour again.
I don't know about lacking fight it looked a tricky pitch to score on, I though they battled well as turgid and uninspiring as yesterday's day of play was!
I've seen plenty of England teams crumble on pitches like that with the pressure of a big first innings total.
I'm looking forward to seeing what Swann gets out of the pitch....
Shame about it being rained off today
Fair play to the Aussies declaring and making a game of it, we all know if it was the reverse England wouldn't have the guts.
Come on England. Kevin Pietersen and Trotty pushing the score along
looks like a draw from here
36 to win with 36 balls and 6 wickets.
England win I think Rev.
That brilliant run out from Starc has saved Australia from a 4-0 defeat, essentially the break in play required for the new batsmen to come in was the final straw.
Great days play
All over, bad light ends play.
3-0 not a bad series.
Would settle for that down under.
Disappointing end with the bad light. Watching the Aussies whinging for bad light though is a positive end of the Ashes for England setting them up for the next Ashes series .
