Re: Snowdon
6 or 7 seconds - not much in it at the end then - Roadrunner looked to have a good lead just above Clogwyn on the way down. But in second place going down the steep bit before the bridge Murray Strain was flying. A lot of folk there thought he'd be certain to catch RR but I thought ...... Mr J has done this race before! (Well done with the bright green shoes by the way - looked like Adidas but you went past a bit quick to be certain.)

Re: Snowdon
Of course they were adidas. adidas Adios to be more specific. Great road shoe, not so great when running over loose rock!!! Murray passed me and I managed to hang off the back of him on the technical ground. Pulled him back on the more runable stuff. (More to my liking!!!) Hit the catle grid just behind him and ran by him on the final stages on the road. As usual the support in the village and on the mountain was awesome. This race is a must for me each year, just ashame I had to miss it last year due to other races. I have penciled next years date in my diary (Ok, put it on my phone) and will be entering when entries open. Thanks to all who gave us a shout today and to the race oragnisers and the marshalls.

Re: Snowdon
Top run Andi, I saw you on the way up with a 200m lead after the road section then the way you passed Murry on the road comming up to the roundabout was top draw. The poor lads face as you breezed past him.
And I must give a shout to Holmsie. (Greatest ever)

Re: Snowdon
What a Fantastic Day!
a true "Event" rather than just a race, with big atmosphere and support
only my 2nd Snowdon but I am now very much a convert, and will revisit most years
didn't hurt that I had a good run myself, breaking 1:50 as planned
349th up, 293rd down for 325th overall - need to work on my uphill!
good to meet/shake hands on hill with chamber34 - we summited together but he ran away from me on the descent
Congratulations to Andi on yet another superb win http://www.runnersworld.co.uk/forum/...rty_smiley.gif
and also to Pippa, making it an English double
also concerned about the faller near the summit - looked a bad one, heard marshals calling for a helicopter, but don't remember seeing/hearing one come...
