Felt good and the warm drizzle felt beautiful, was soaked by the time I finished.
Today (Thur 29th)
8 miles easy - 55.12
Had to hold back as I just wanted to keep pushing it along and I MUST keep my easy runs easy if I'm to avoid injury AGAIN! Preferred yesterdays weather, as opposed to todays heat whilst in full sunlight.
Rest day tomorrow and getting another sports massage. Quite looking forward to the pain
Filled a four tonne skip and then went to Cricket practice. :D
13 miles in total easy seven on moors from white coppice followed by steady 6 miles on roads and canal. Days rest tommorrow for Duddon which is being done as part of a 50 mile week as training for Saunders:D
8 mile to work on singlespeed, 4 mile home in rain:( Did see a fox though, bollox, wrong thread;)
1 hour last night, struggles to run, shooting pain in my left leg this time..
ah well bottle of pain killers will sort it out.

Happy days again. Did a light 4.7 mile on Pex Hill Trail paths today and felt fine no problems with calf.
Lovely hot sunny afternoon and wished I had been okay to run the Garburn race though.

First session since returning from injury :)
6 x approx 500-600m hill reps with about 100m ascent
2min-2.15min jog back recovery
1.45, 1.46, 1.51, 1.52, 1.51, 1.41
Felt great to get the legs moving at a good speed again! Looking forward to getting a few more tough sessions under my belt and then getting back racing again
warm up then 12 x 50 strides(or 30 secs) with 1 min recovery.
7 mile around Pex Hill this morning felt a bit tired after yesterdays short run and not doing much for three weeks but really enjoyed it.
Oh I'm ok. My foot's not too painful now. Just really upset I can't do all the races I had planned. Especially as I had lots of sponsors for the Wharfedale. Starting in the gym on Tuesday so will feel better once I'm doing some exercise!
Would have been reccying the Wharfedale today, just looking out the window and it's been belting down all morning, I would have been a drowned rat!
Its a blow when you have entered and paid for races then you can't run though injury. I have missed the last two that I entered and it was to late to give my number to somone else.
A weeks rest will do you the world of good although it may not feel like that at the minute. Getting in the gym will keep you motivated just take it easy. Its also pouring down here at the minute very different from yesterday.
steady nine miles mainly canal towpaths. Legs felt surprisingly fresh considering done duddon yesterday
Kinder Trog recce with three lovely ladies from Penistone.
Wet & miserable until Red Brook but drier and much more enjoyable from then on.:)
An easy 18 around Duddon valley yesterday! Need more long days in the hills like that. Easy walk around Fairfield today and then a long wet drive home. Back running tomorrow.

Yesterday evening ran the Mickleden Straddle route. First longish run for some time and better than expected. All was shrouded in mist/cloud and v. humid. Even better, didn't see a soul. Was back at the car for 9:30pm and still loads of daylight left.
Probably off for a trot this lunch time, about 6 mile ish, on the road.
5 miles by the canal tow path around Hyde
Had an hours gym session this morning with a trainer, used kettlebells,my hamstrings are killing me now!!Anyone else tried them?
They are weights, ball shaped but with a handle, the idea is you basically swing them between your legs(im serious guys)and use your hips to push the kettlebell on the upswing. Its meant to help you use the stored energy in your muscles(something lke that):o will percivere and see if it works......or not
An easy 3 on local forest tracks on a muggy day with midges a plenty. My first run since Duddon loosened the legs and the Ms. had her first run post injury so all good.
