The Route, as always I have tried to compile a route that allows for all abilities, its proximity to Keswick and the time of year
I have waited a while to check out the parking arrangements which I did on sat:
So here we go
Start at Rosthwaite Hall over road to pick up Cumbrian way head south (Ish) after Stonethwaith Bridge pick up path heading east up fell side through woods, past Dock Tarn to Great Crag , from here descend fell side to Watendlath .
Don’t cross stream but head up towards Black Waugh and on to Joopletyhow Moss from here take in the peaks of Brund Fell Grange Hill and on to Kings How for views that a reverse of the normal view then pick up trod that goes south (ish) that passes below Swanstey How and comes out under Resting Stone
Then it’s a race back to the pub!
As its that time of year again mincing pies and m wine will be available
Again its different this year and if it does not work then next year we will revert back to holding bottles at a 45 degree angle in the loft! While trying to look young hmmmmm
So this year’s its PARTY night at the Skiddaw hotel
I have booked a table under FRF I promise it will be a good night, if you want to come then I will have to request a deposit, I can do the booking and pay the deposit but if you say Yes then I will book you on it if you say yes then don’t pay I will hound you forever, deposit to be paid to me by the 6 of December, its only a tenner deposit but will ensure you’re on the table with hats and balloons.
Friday will be the traditional meet greet drink, makes you want Christmas to come now!

I can't make it, but what a great idea all the same.
I'd wear a see-through mankini. The ladies wouldn't be able to keep their eyes off the shlong!
Tears? Life is too short to spill one's tears over a lost Shlong...

Crimbo commitments almost certainly in the way..
THIS is the most important Crimbo commitment in the diary :p
Errrrmmmm... that said, still working on it
Shaunetto, weak excuse, it is before Xmas, not at Xmas!
......:(
I can assure you, I'd rather just be driving to the Lakes. Rather than Angus, Birmingham, Norwich, Nottingham, Sheffield, Angus.
That said, it's not a done and signed deal.
Please be aware that this event is not being held under FRA rules no responsibility will be held be me at all if you make a cock up.
I have no wish that you come to harm but this event is being held as a jolly over dangerous ground with bad weather expected and a tummy full of of beer from the night before a must!
You have been warned, if somebody wearing a santa hat lets it slip to cover his/her eyes than i nor anybody else can be held responsible for the possible fall you may have.
Table up to 18 now a few mystery guests have confirmed there attendance hmmmmmmmm i wonder anybody famous????
Been in Cairo for a week but in lakes next week to have a final walk over the route, and will let you know any amendments xx

'spose I'd best turn up to do my best to ignore christmas as usual...
Can confirm that we have been round the rote today------ fantastic very tough early steep climb and not easy running till past tarn but good and very runnable after tarn, around 7-8 miles 1800 feet
Can't wait now..... All deposits paid but moneys will be required early December will give more detail soon.....
Thanks again for organising Steve. Presume you dropped a few bottle of Sneckie off en route ready for the big day?
Let us know when and where and how much money you want and it will wing its way to you :)
I must look for rideable bits around the route, would be nice to meet up at your mince pie, mulled wine and squirty cream point :) Or otherwise, I will be the mince pie, squirty cream and mulled wine stop :) See how much I cam carry on my new bike packing bags!
Lots of bits to ride Han we will meet up and your suggestion will solve a problem for me, I will drop the goodies with you and we can all meet up at the Tarn.....
Will let details re money out soon, I fear the low turn out is due to the relocation in dancing location------ oh well never mind we will have a fab time XOTF for me is the start of Christmas, mad Friday in Keswick then on the lash hmmmmm a real plan and we will never have the numbers of pre forum when me and Martin (Amex's Mate) just went
I don't know what i'm doing yet fitness considered. It's probable i'll be riding from Rosthwaite (fast, road) to Watendlath where i'm assuming the snap will be, after that i'll probably take the bridleway up Bowdergate Gill and wait for everyone near this resting stone thing. From the resting stone thing the bridleway is the only route into Rosthwaite. I might end up just shopping in Keswick but if i'm out this is what i'll be doing, i can't see you slowing me down in a month of sundays if you want to join me!
I think a lot of it is because so many of us are crap at committing to anything in advance. It's almost like we have to do some kind of organising this year  And there's nothing against Lofting on the Friday is there? :)
38 sleeps to go, which by reckoning means about 38 days before looking to sort out somewhere to stay.
