Nice photos. I see the camera's working well.
Good of him to look up so we can see his profile.
It is official Red squirrel awareness day in UK today. So the photos are spot on (except not UK) but shows what we are missing.
Too true Moley.
I always look forward to International Beaver Day.(April 7th);)
The squirrels are cute. But, like if the food we give them was not enough, these bastards steal from the birds' house. Let's see if I collect evidence...

Still struggling posting pics:(
Love the covert camera rig Gambette. :)
Is that a case of hiding in plain sight?
I love these [insert anything] days.
My son made me aware of put a pillow on your fridge day. May 29th - don't forget.

Snipe (I think) yesterday, again - up near Crag Hall. It flew up out of a patch of reeds enough for me to see the very long bill before flying back to the ground again and hiding.
And a barn owl on yesterday's run - looking surprising beige against the pure white snow.
First Little Grebe of the Year on the Wharfe in Otley. Also saw Bullfinches, Tree Creeper, Goosanders, Fieldfare, Greenfinch, Buzzard and much more of the normal stuff.

cheeky guy always visiting because he knows he get free food
My lucky wife saw three otters in the River Wharfe at Otley today, good sighting both in and out of the water. To say I'm jealous is an understatement.

Ooh, good call. We normally do this.
Today's highlights: Pair of Goosanders and a dipper on the Dane, kestrel on the moors, snipe (maybe) flushed out of a patch of reeds.
Big otter today.

Having lots of fun posting these wildlife videos of our garden.
But if you happen not to like them or "had enough", please tell me and I will stop. I don't want to bore you...
edit: there was an issue with this video, I had to reedit it
Keep 'em coming. :)
PS. My latest captures from my wildlife camera are 195 videos of chaffinches. I think I need to position it somewhere else.

New day. Same old fella.
I got the impression the guy is getting fatter. A "wild" animal in the depth of the winter .
It must be all the nuts he's getting from us.

Pretty cold at -9!
At least tasty nuts for breakfast
Large flock of Redwing pecking over a field of pasture near home. Lovely birds with great markings, especially on the head. Not sure what they were getting to eat as the ground was frozen solid.
Lapwings are back! Scores of them, doing their squeeky, flying, twisty thing, on and over a few fields heading to the fell at Eggleston this morning.
On today's bike ride i saw what looked like some kind of game bird... i expect it was very common, but i wouldn't be able to identify it... had a very distinct "bright" brown feathers on it's breast, almost looking orange-y in colour. Made an awful racket like it was trying to scare something away, flapping it's wings like crazy hovering a few feet above the ground.
Also a grey squirrel, and a dead badger.
How big was it Travs - pigeon sized, or chicken sized?
Sounds to me possibly a cock pheasant, perhaps squaring up to a rival?
Cormorant at Nanpantan reservoir, keeping an eye on all the anglers. Presumably if any angler had taken out a fish and not put it back, he would have had to contend with the sharp end of a beak.
