A short 4 mile on the roads late tonight.
New fiensdale route in the bowland fells, around 7 miles and 2500ft climbing. Manage to get round before the persistant rain came in.
Easy plod around Whangie Whizz race route 4.5m, with her indoors, pushed 5 x 1-1:30 uphill sprints on the 2nd half. feeling strong if not fast. Not sure if that is post Ennerdale still or just because we were up till 3:30 a.m. cheering the West Highland Way race going past the house at their 10 mile point. A lovely morning for running but not a very chatty bunch, not like fellrunners.

6 miles over the moors & 1 hour in the gym ;)
Only a light run of 3.11 mile on the roads early today. Wasn't able to do the Lymm 5K today unfortunately.
Hilly 8 mile road run. Took it steady and feeling hot & heavy. Hard getting back into regular training after a month with 3 races in so it had lots of resting between them. Anyway I feel back in the groove now.

5 miles including the club speed session, 10 steep hills (Gardner St in Glasgows westend for those in the know) was a killer. !st speed sess in a while, since before the Windermere marathon I think, so it was hard but I was pleased and going ok. Hopefully a race on Wed. so getting some speed in these long slow legs.

Bath Skyline path,
7 miles ish, very nice would recommend if you are ever in Bath. Mixture of roads and footpaths including some fun tracks in a wood.
Last night did a steady recce of Mickleden Straddle, my first long run since Kinder Trog. Only saw 1 pair of runners and a gaggle of MTBers. Out for just over 2 hours and all's well with the world! :)
Red moss revolution, 5.5m, 700ft (ish).
Not sure about time or actual placing but had a belter of a race on this fast trail course, with one boggy climb and descent in the middle. Despite packing in a lot of long racing and milage lately this was my best hill race this year if not ever, in terms of the people who were around me, or behind me, but are usually a coupe of minutes ahead of me! Very pleased and a lovely friendly race. A great burn up and getting some speed into my legs before Wasdale.

8.5 miles cross-country! Had serious stomache ache halfway round...not a stitch but i duno if ive got a bug....lets just say i had to visit the toilet alot last night....and i lost a fair bit of weight due it:eek:

Easy recovery 5 with my partner, lovely evening but heavy legs after running hard last night.
The next few days will be a combination of tension and some long slow runs setting up and taking down the Arrochar Alps race.

Managed to nip out yesterday evening for a wee 3 mile blast. Haven't been that wet since way back in winter, bl**dy awful weather at the mo', feels like November up here. :(
Slow 5 flagging the last couple of miles of the Arrochar Alps Hill race. Warm, drizzle, midge hell!
Jason
managed one foot in front of the other whilst weaving down the road does that count?
7miles from white coppice around great hill, very wet underfoot away from the main tracks. :D
A short 3.4 mile run on the roads tonight.
6 miles up and round Hambeldon again, nothing exciting, no wildlife or funny goings on to report!!
After yet another training 'break'
yesterday 4.5 miles steady canal, hilly road, woods, riverside etc.
today am - 22 miles bike along towpath to Bingley 5-rise and back, with the obligatory ice cream stop:D
pm- 5 miles easy running as per yesterday with extension up the hill from canal to Calverley.
After yesterdays exhausting 12.5 hour day organising the Arrochar Alps Race, which somehow doesn't count as training, today I was back there, ran up the Cobbler and Ben Narnain and picked up the flags off the last couple of miles on the way down. 9.5 miles and around 4000ft. just at a steady jog. Glad this weekend is over.
Phew
